Preaching 101

In the midst of living in a relativistic society, nothing is more urgent than to "rightly divide the Word of God." I'm excited to have five of our men commiting to taking a course on Introduction To Preaching. They're on their 3rd of 12 weeks. We are grateful to God for using Pastor Garfield, pastor of Faith In Christ Fellowship, Daly City, in teaching these men of God.

I'm looking forward to what our God will do in and through their lives. Some of them will preach; others will teach a life group; all will be able to lead their family in falling in love with God and His Word. But most of all, I pray that as Peter said, "Grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Soli Deo Gloria!

Here are some strategies for sexual victory that we've learned so far:

1. Quote Scriptures. Psalm 119:11

2. See her with compassionate eyes. Colossians 3:12

3. We should see Christian women as sisters. 2 Tim. 5:2

4. When sexually sinning, continually see yourself as identified and joined with Christ. Gal. 4:5-6

5. Run!!!!!! 1 Corinthians 6:18

6. Have an accountability partner.
